Correspondence Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Ties

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down speech I doubt I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing assistant".

These messages were published on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. The BBC managed to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's closest aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this morning with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he continued: "They are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the people over here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for the political party told media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
